Amaliya and Fernando were not raised and born in the Philippines. In fact, they are of foreign blood.

However, these two returning models are no strangers to the local culture, as both have experienced working in the country.

Now that they are back in the place they call as "second home," Amaliya and Fernando are willing to double their efforts and go for the extra mile!

With unforgettable experiences in the Philippines, these two IM models decided to come back to create new memories while exploring more on what this country has to offer them.

These Filipino-at-Heart models both admitted that they missed the weather, the lifestyle, and even the people here.

Amaliya said, “Manila has a lot of things that makes me happy and this is my recovering place."

Fernando, for his part, pointed out that his Filipino followers are one of the reasons why he returned in the country.

As he put it into words, “They are asking me to go back, so I think, why not give it a try?”

For their comeback in the Philippines, Fernando, 21, and Amaliya, 22, chose IM Agency once again!

Amaliya explained that the people in the team did not only became her colleagues, but she also felt like she is treated as family.

She exclaimed, "IM is my one and only agency in Manila!"

Meanwhile, Fernando gives the agency his full trust in terms of his modeling career.

He elaborated, "IM took care of me when I was just a baby in this crazy industry and I know I can trust them in the next months."

IM's Canadian "Head-turner" Elle

IM’s Canadian head-turner Elle Reece has been busy working in the Philippines for three months, yet she was able to quickly adapt in the country's culture - saying that Canada and the Philippines have so much in common.
Philippines is her first modeling stint outside of Canada, and this work opportunity gave her various
platforms to discover and learn more about herself.
She said, "I was able to open up more because everyone here made me feel comfortable." One of these realizations was that she should never take everything personally when it comes to getting modeling jobs.

"You win some and you lose some jobs and it isn’t because you aren’t good enough, you may have just not been exactly what a client is looking for."

And when asked if she's happy with the results of her stay, this 18-year-old stunner answered, "Yes of course!"

Elle's modeling journey in the Philippines has, in fact, helped her gain more confidence. "Everything is a learning experience and not only did I learn a lot more about modeling, I also learned a lot more about myself. "I made really good friends by pushing myself out of my comfort zone. "Everything I’ve done here has pushed me to grow and to be more positive."

This Canada-based model would later move to other countries to do modeling. However, it looks like the whole experience was such a good one to Elle that even though she is still here in the Philippines, she already thinks of returning to the country—either for work or for vacation!

Here are some of the jobs she made here in the Philippines:

She exclaimed, "I love IM’s TEAM!

"Everyone in the office is so kind and funny. They’re super professional and always put their best foot forward for work. "I’m really going to miss this team and working with IM, I really had such a good time here," she ended.

IM in the Spotlight
Real stories from IM models
IM agency is a place of caring, understanding, good hearted, and helping people. A test to that is the recently held “PSOaR High: Uplifting the Care of Psoriasis: Hug Me Campaign (To erase stigma that Psoriasis is communicable).”

What is Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that causes the rapid build-up of skin cells. This build-up of cells causes scaling on the skin’s surface. Inflammation and redness around the scales is fairly common. Typical psoriatic scales are whitish-silver and develop in thick, red patches. Sometimes, these patches will crack and bleed.
IM’s very own Maria Fabiana and Tanner Mata were present during the said event. They both believe that people should be aware that Psoriasis is something we shouldn’t be afraid of for it is not communicable and contagious.
For Tanner, he has been attending events to inform people about it. He wants to stand and become an example to many about this matter. While for Maria, she’s been using social media to spread awareness so that people will follow her steps.
We asked Maria and Tanner on the learnings and realizations they had after attending the “Hug Me Campaign.”

According to Tanner, “Do not judge people immediately upon site. If you want to judge someone because of what they have, inform yourself on what it is instead of assuming what it is and or does.” He also added that, people should be educated or aware to keep them from being ostracized and keep their families and friends together.
For Maria, it showed her how strong people with Psoriasis are. She stated that these people are “True Warriors” and discrimination shouldn’t be part of anyone’s life. Maria stated and we quoted, “We are all the same, we are all together, and we should always be kind to one another.” She also said that, these people have so much love to give, and so much space to receive.
IM agency aims to change people’s perspective of being afraid of people with Psoriasis. It is not something to be afraid of. Everybody deserves to love and be loved.
To those who would like to extend their helping hand, kindly contact Rizal Medical Center: (02) 865 8400.
